Song of the Heart

Free Method Workshop

Reframe how you relate to music

Music isn’t something you either “have” or “don’t have.” It’s something you grow into — by listening, by playing, and by allowing yourself to sound imperfect first.

After this workshop you'll understand:

Why musicality is something you develop — not something you’re born with

Why instruction-based learning disconnects you from your own sound

How play, listening, and curiosity can replace pressure and perfection.

If you’ve ever felt this...

You sit down at the piano… and suddenly you don’t know what to do.

You play the same patterns again.
Or you overthink every note.
Or you only feel confident when something
tells you exactly what to press.

And even when you can play something…
It doesn’t always feel like you.

Or maybe you have never even tried it because you thought it wasn't for you.

Then this method is for you.

Why so many people feel stuck — even when they “can play”

Most people don’t learn music anymore. They learn instructions.

Sheet music trains the eyes. And those YouTube videos with falling bars? Same thing — just brighter.

You become dependent on what you can read, not what you can hear. The goal becomes playing it perfectly, instead of creating something real.

And when perfection is the goal, joy disappears.

What music actually is...

It’s a living language. And when music is treated like language, everything changes.

Not overnight. Not magically. But fundamentally.
This workshop invites you into that way of seeing.

What you'll walk away with

This workshop won’t teach you songs. It won’t turn you into a “better pianist” in 90 minutes. But you will walk away with something far more valuable:

  • A clear explanation of why you feel stuck — and what to change first

  • The 3 Shifts that move you from repetition and insecurity to real freedom

  • A simple way to understand what’s happening when something “doesn’t work”

  • A new relationship with the piano: less pressure, more play, more direction

This workshop is for you if...

  • You feel stuck playing the same things

  • You overthink when you sit down at the piano

  • You want music to feel expressive, not mechanical

  • You’re curious about playing by ear and improvisation

  • Or you don’t play piano yet, but feel drawn to music

This workshop is not for you if...

  • You only want to reproduce pieces exactly as written

  • You’re not open to experimenting or listening deeply

  • You’re looking for shortcuts instead of real freedom

Meet your host

Hi, I’m Sebastian Miller, but everyone calls me Seb.

I’ve played piano this way for 26+ years — without any sheet music, by listening first.

For the past five years I’ve been the resident pianist in the most high-end, luxurious hotels & event venues in the Netherlands, playing for international artists, presidents, and high-profile events.

What people say again and again:

There’s something different about this. It feels alive.

That’s not an accident. It’s the result of learning music as a language — not as instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a piano for this workshop?

No. You don’t need a piano, and you don’t need to play along.

This workshop is about understanding music differently — not about practicing techniques. You’ll be able to apply what you discover later, at your own pace.

Is this for beginners or experienced players?

Both.

Some people join because they’ve never played before but feel drawn to music. Others have played for years and feel stuck or disconnected.

The workshop meets you at the level of how you relate to music, not how much you know.

Will we be improvising during the workshop?

No.

You won’t be asked to play or improvise live. This is about insight and orientation — not performance.

Is this about theory?

No heavy theory.

Concepts may be mentioned to clarify ideas, but this isn’t a theory-based workshop. Nothing needs to be memorized or studied.

I’m not sure if I’m “musical.” Is this still for me?

If music moves you, affects you, or makes you feel something — you’re musical.

This workshop doesn’t ask you to prove anything. It invites you to listen and understand differently.

How long is the workshop?

Approximately 75–90 minutes.

Will there be a replay?

Yes. Everyone who registers will receive access to the replay.

What does it cost?

The workshop is free of costs, the investment is your attention and presence.

What happens after I sign up?

You’ll receive a confirmation email with all practical details.
